How to arrive to Bressanone - Brixen
Bressanone (or Brixen) is in the bilingual province of
Bolzano (Bozen) and is 500 meters high.
Coming by Train
Bressanone is on the international line Monaco-Munich (D) <-> Verona and
every train on this line stops in Bressanone. Moreover, there are many daily
connections from Innsbruck (AT) to Bressanone.
If you come from another city in Italy, you should pass via Verona.
From Verona to Bressanone
From Verona to Bressanone it takes about 2 hours by train,
and you have several trains per day (ex. 7:50am, 9:02am, 11:02am, 11:50am, 11:50am, 1:02pm, 1:50pm, 3:02pm,, 3:50pm, 5:02pm, 5:50pm etc)
Similar frequency is in the other direction (Monaco-Munich to Verona).
It takes about 1h 30m from Innsbruck to Bressanone and 3h 30m from Munich.
Coming by Airplane
Several airports have easy train connections to Bressanone. Here is a list:
- Innsbruck (AT) 80 km
- Monaco-Munich Franz-Josef Strauss (D) 260 km
- Verona (ITA) (Valerio Catullo) 200 km
- Venezia (ITA) (Marco Polo) 320 km
- Milano-Linate (ITA) 330 km
- Milano-Malpensa (ITA) 350 km
Depending on your international flight connections, you should choose among them but we strongly
recommend Verona (Valerio Catullo) international airport.
In any case, if you arrive in any italian airport, you should then take a train which passes through Verona.
From Verona airport to the railway-station Verona P.ta Nuova there are shuttle-busses every 20 minutes from 6:30am to 11:35pm.
From Verona to Bressanone it takes about 2 hours by train, and you have several trains per day (see above).
There are also connections from Monaco, Innsbruck and other italian airport to Bolzano airport. Bolzano and Bressanone
are few kilometers away and you could probably get a taxi (probably expensive) or a bus to get from one
city to another. Ask you travel agency for details on this kind of solutions.
We would be pleased to welcome you on Sunday around 6:30pm for a welcome buffet at the main main site (1).
The main idea of this pre-course meeting is intended to meet each other in an informal environment, but you can also consider this as
a course registration where we will give you all the material of the course including the receipt of your payment.
Please note: there would be enough to satisfy your hunger and thirst but we can surely have a beer together or by small groups
after our informal meeting.
The following map is a very reduced one. You can have a big one in JPEG format, or you
can browse an interactive one from the web page of the Tourist Office in Bressanone-Brixen.
